Violet shines on Fujifilm CTP with 1,000 systems sold
The 1000th violet CTP system sold by Fujifilm was the Saber Luxel V-6 CTP B2 platesetter, shipped to the factory of UK print company Kingfisher Press. Fujifilm hails the sale as reflective of the technology's success, claiming it also demonstrates the high degree of interest show towards violet photopolymer computer-to-plate systems by the graphic arts industry.
Andy Cook, managing director of Fujifilm Electronic Imaging, says his company is proud to have secured its 1000th sale. “Violet CTP is now the first choice for many printers and repro-houses,” he says.
Cook also emphasises the unique characteristics of the violet-light technology, claiming it gives it a leg up over other forms of CTP solutions available. “We believe the winning combination of low cost of ownership, high quality and productivity, and environmental friendliness is unmatched by any other technology.”
