Visual Impact Image Expo to be all the rage
Held from 18-21 July at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event has already drawn criticism regarding visitors who have pre-registered for the show being allowed to enter ahead of those who turn up on the day and face waiting in queues.
Organisers are recommending that attendees pre-register and be rewarded with an easier entrance. "As this will be our largest show ever, we believe pre-registering will help to ease queues of eager attendees, making it a lot easier for visitors to get in and see all the exhibition has to offer," said Diana Marosi, organiser. "If people pre-register via the website they will get priority treatment and entry to the expo. It's only fair."
Marossi said that said had noticed an increased number of people who were pre-registering, which she hoped would continue in the lead up.
The Visual Impact Image Expo, which coveres everything from digital printing through to engraving, kicked off on May in Queensland and now makes its way to Sydney, coinciding with the Screen and Graphic Industries Association of Australia's awards night on 20 July.
Touting to be "bigger and better" than its predecessors, Marosi has high hopes for the event. "I expect it will go extremely well, as it has done in all previous years," she said.
