WA gets 1st look at HP 7000 in Currie road show

The iconic industry mobile showroom, the Colour express, heads across the Nullarbor tomorrow, packed with the latest digital colour technology.

From 23-25 June, the truck will be at the Currie Group’s Perth office in Osborne Park, demonstrating the latest HP press. A range of finishing equipment and solutions also be on board will produce photobooks on demand. The new Horizons BQ-160 entry-level binder will be shown for the first time with PUR capability, ideal for short-run digital photo books and other book applications. The new compact PF-40 quick set-up suction-feed folder will also be exhibited.

According to Bernie Robinson, managing director, (pictured) this will be the truck’s first trip since the inside has been renovated with features including air conditioning and a sliding door. “It hasn’t been to Perth for a couple of years so it’s a good chance to go over and show the 7000,” he said, adding that the truck will also visit Adelaide on the way back, 30 June to 1 July.

Complete with local Currie Group members and Phil Rennell, sales and marketing director, the team are looking forward to meeting members of the printing industry in both Perth and Adelaide.

“The road show will be a great chance for those who did not attend Ipex to speak to us and hear about the latest developments in the industry from the Currie Group,” Robinson said.
