WAM!NET picks wireless expert Vertel as file delivery partner
Positioning itself as an alternative to open system FTP operation, WAM!NET is promoting the point-to-point micro wave wireless solution as ideal for many printers. Line of sight connectivity solves access issues for printers in hard to get to locations. The service is usually seen as more stable and reliable than either cable or ADSL.
Market Development Director, Sarah Baston, said, “Clients have
recently approached us for our premium digital content transport service, but also required
improved connectivity. In these cases, we successfully combined our services with Vertel’s to offer
a remarkable business enabler. Our decision to offer this to the broader market was an easy one,
defined by need and accelerated by demand.”
“Our digital transport service is vastly superior to FTP. It is reliable, easy-to-use and underpinned
by a range of features including email or SMS notifications and internet banking-grade security.
Those that use WAM!NET services experience increased efficiencies and productivity and
decreased labour and transport costs”.
Vertel have provided micro wave radio links for 30 years and have one of the largest networks in the country.
