The Wedderburn business has steadily grown its packaging and labels offering across Australia and New Zealand. Snapping up the latest Plate Cleaner 45 from Jet Technologies is just one of Wedderburn’s secret weapons as it prepares for even more market growth in 2014.
Jack Malki, director of Jet Technologies, made the trip across the Tasman to seal the deal himself, and catch up with the team at Wedderburn. According to Gary Gibbon, operations manager, the new automated plate cleaner has been a critical addition to the business.
“We are looking forward to an exciting period of growth for Wedderburn in New Zealand and the addition of equipment such as the plate cleaning unit from Jet is part of this growth. Especially the streamlining of systems within our label converting area,” says Gibbon.
Following a trial period, Gibbon says he was more than happy to sign on the dotted line. He says the team has been extremely pleased with the results.
Gibbon adds, “The unit is easy to use and is standalone, so it requires no plumbing only a power point. We were very impressed with the ease of use and our staff appreciates the automated superior method of cleaning plates.”
Handled by Jet Technologies, the Plate Cleaner 45 has become a popular addition to companies moving toward lean manufacturing. With its simple front feed of the plate, the unit cleans, rinses and dries plates before they are fed out into a basket at the end of the machine.
Jet is also working with businesses to provide post press cleaning solutions for the flexo and print market. It offers custom-made automated part washers, anilox cleaners and rotary screen mesh cleaners.
