Lindsay Barnes, GM for Graphic Systems, and Troy Strachan, business manager for Graphics, have left Fujifilm Australia as part of a company 'restructuring.'

“The Australian print and graphics industry has always been a major focus for Fujifilm and as such we are always looking for ways to better serve our customers and drive the business forward," says Fujifilm Australia COO Dave Marshall. "The next stage of this process involves us restructuring our Australian sales and marketing team and bringing exciting new technologies and products including the much-heralded Fujifilm Uvistar Hybrid 320 super wide format printer to market in the near future.”

Part of the restructure sees current GM for Graphic Systems Lindsay Barnes and Business Manager for Graphics Troy Strachan move on to other opportunities while the company recruits to build a stronger and more efficient team in their Australian office," the company announced in a press release.

"It’s an exciting time for Fujifilm Australia’s Graphic Systems division as we push a far more proactive and hands-on approach to the business’ management," Marshall says. “This is a major investment and drive from Fujifilm Australia that not only confirms our commitment to the Australian print and graphics industry but also helps us build a stronger, more cohesive sales and marketing team to better help and serve our customers nationwide.

"Fujifilm is currently recruiting for a new divisional manager for the Graphic Systems division whose task is not just to improve the performance of the division for our customers but also to significantly improve the management of supply and logistics within our Australian operation.”

The divisional manager role is currently being held in an interim capacity by industry veteran and long time Fujifilm Australia print and graphics expert Warren Hinder.

Fujifilm Australia is one of 282 worldwide subsidiaries owned by Fujifilm Holdings Corporation - the world's largest photographic and imaging company. In the Oceania region, Fuji Xerox and Fujifilm NZ also form part of the corporate family owned by parent company Fujifilm Holdings.
