Jim Henneberry has resigned from the position of Chief Executive Officer at Australian Paper after eight years with the company.

Staff and other stakeholders were told the news last Friday January 31. Henneberry will leave the company on February 14. The offical reason for his departure is to pursue opportunities outside the business.

Hirofumi Fujimori, the representative director of Australian Paper’s Japanese-based holding company, Nippon Paper Industries, will take the role of acting CEO until a replacement is found.

In a statement Australian Paper thanked Henneberry for his dedication and commitment to the company since joining in 2006. We wish him success in the next endeavour.

Henneberry, originally from the US, has been with Australian Paper during some of the company's most turbulent years as it was sold by PaperlinX to Nippon Paper. A notable success on his watch was the delivery of a $90 million recycling plant at Maryvale.
