manroland web reinforces its sales and services management team with the new appointment of Joern Gossé to the executive board. Gossé will head up sales and services alongside managing director, Eckhard Hoerner-Marass, following a recent streamlining of the management hierarchy.

Gossé brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new post. He began his career with rival press giant Heidelberg in 1988 as a graduate engineer, working his way up through the company, gaining years of international experience in sales and service. Since 2005 he has been managing director at Heidelberg, Northern Region, Hamburg.

Welcoming him to the team, Hoerner-Marass said, "We are very pleased to have Joern Gossé as a management colleague with his great experience in sales and service and his profound knowledge of the print industry. Together with our well-established management team, we are looking forward to constantly moving onward on the companies road to success."

Gossé's overall responsibility will include the business units sales, service and finance with 130 employees at the plant and a base of 2,500 customers. Hoerner-Marass stays on as spokesman.

An organisational restructure at manroland web recently saw the departure of Anton Hamm, who oversaw the service department, with this function now falling under a combined 'sales and service' department. In a bid to streamline the company’s organisation and increase its responsiveness, the role was moved to the management level, under the leadership of Hoerner-Marass.

"Service that is sales-oriented and constantly available to our customers is the key to success for our company and with this new organisation structure, we have further strengthened this important division in the company," he said.

Despite a weak market at the second half of 2013, manroland web systems asserts it could reach a positive result.
