Kaaren Lewis (pictured) has left her job as general manager of sales for Canon Business Services after just four months in the role to join data protection software specialist Commvault.

Lewis has more than 20 years of sales and business management experience within the ICT industry, with a strong background across software, hardware and services, leading cross-functional businesses and start-up business within global organisations such as Hewlett Packard, Dell, Compaq, IBM and Insight.

The ICT specialist will lead Commvault’s channel and distribution business in Australia and New Zealand.

“With Kaaren’s depth of experience, industry knowledge and passion for our business, we are ready to take our channel operations to the next level to support our channel and customer base,” Dan Kieran, Commvault's vice-president and MD for Australia and New Zealand, told IT news website ARN. “The value of data has quickly evolved to become the heartbeat of modern business. Very quickly, customers have identified the need for clarity and control over their data – this is where Commvault creates value.”

Lewis was appointed GM of sales at Canon Australia in February 2017.
