Luke Clark, the former chief information officer at Canon Australia, has been appointed CEO of the company’s information management business Converga, effective 1 May.
“Clark moves into this new role with a flawless track record and exceptional leadership qualities, ready to make a real impact at Converga,” said a statement from Canon.
“As part of the Canon Oceania Group, the role at Converga will allow Clark to showcase his expertise in transformation projects while leading the business as part of Canon’s broader service portfolio. Within Luke’s role as part of the Canon Oceania Senior Leadership team, he will continue to bridge the two service offerings and taking his learnings from CIO of Canon Australia to CEO of Converga.”
Clark said: “I’m excited to work with this talented group of employees and our valued customers. I’ll be focused on delivering the end-to-end business services that customers expect from us.”
Clark will be stepping into the role of current CEO Paul Bellette, who is departing after ten years with the company, four years as CEO, to commence a new chapter in his career. During his time with Converga, Bellette led the company’s change of ownership from NZ Post to Canon Oceania.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Converga and will look back on it fondly," he said. "I leave knowing my team is well-positioned for future growth under the leadership of Luke Clark."
Converga commenced operations as Outsource Australia (OSA) in 1994, then known as an innovative outsourcer of mail, logistics, reprographics and records management services. With increasing demand for strategic information management services, OSA developed “Converga”, specialising in Business Process Outsourcing with a focus on paper to digital document conversion. OSA officially changed its name to Converga in June 2008.
Canon acquired Converga in 2015.
