Printing Industries has boosted its sales focus with two new appointments as the association moves to strengthen its membership base.
Tom Sullivan (above) has joined the team as NSW business development and national sponsorship manager. Formerly publishing manager with Sterling Publishing, he has a strong B2B sales background with a focus on sponsorship and membership sales and has worked extensively in developing customer service and team leadership models.
Sandrine Dart (above) will join the association mid-September as the new general manager of sales and marketing, spearheading membership sales nationally. Sandrine also has an extensive background in senior sales and marketing management roles and in event/video production, running her own graphic design and research companies in France, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Printing Industries CEO Jason Allen said the appointments were an essential part of the association's new vision - ‘Partners in Business Building’.
"We need to think and act differently in new times and these appointments are an important part of that process," said Allen, who also paid tribute to staff leaving the association.
"Garry Knespal finished his consultancy work with the association at the end of August and is leaving Australia shortly for an extended and well deserved overseas trip. He has played an integral part in a number of key initiatives since the successful amalgamation of GASAA and Printing Industries in 2013, including the development of the association’s new websites and marketing material, as well as the development of our popular webinar programs. He also contributed greatly to our member services team and connecting with the wider design and graphics community. More recently, he has worked on revamping the SGP environmental program and the new Letterbox Marketing Plus initiatives, which are now well in place."
Western Australian general manager, Paul Nieuwhof, has resigned from his role after 17 years, saying he believed this was the right time to move on.
"He will leave behind a great legacy of successful PICAs that set the benchmark for all others," Mr Allen said. "He project managed the development of our Sustainable Green Print project and was instrumental in setting up and managing the Green Stamp sustainability program in conjunction with the West Australian government.
"Our thanks go out to Garry and Paul for their work with our membership and contributions to the industry overall. We wish them the very best for their future endeavours," he said.
Recruitment for Nieuwhof's replacement is underway in Western Australia.
