Winds of change – people and events 12 May 2010
Well-known popular industry identity, Sue Threlfo, Fuji Xerox, makes a move to Singapore, while industry PR-genius, Alison Stieven-Taylor, moved through Italy at her own leisured pace on a well-deserved holiday.
It’s a busy life for Sue Threlfo. When she was offered the opportunity to move
to Fuji Xerox’s regional headquarters on a two-year assignment in Singapore she jumped at the chance.
She took up the newly created role a few weeks ago, traveling around the region including Malaysia and China. Basically she’s coaching graphic arts sales managers on how to present the company’s solutions.
It seems the Australian operation is setting the pace in the region and they reckon Sue’s the girl to tell them what the secret is. So far, she loves her new job and will be traveling to IPEX to keep up to speed with developments.
Another case of Australia setting the pace.

It was a different kind of pace for Alison Stieven-Taylor on her recent holiday in Italy. The well known PR-princess and author took a slow spin through la bella Italia. In her own words…
"Urban environments, architecture, layered reflective imagery – these are the
creative threads that influence my photographic work. This trip to Italy was primarily to work on my new collection pegged for exhibition next year. Of course in between taking photos, working at night in my apartment in Florence and a spot of shopping (Prada and Dolce & Gabbana did very nicely out of my trip) I also found time to chill and enjoy some of the local wines.
"No, that is not my dog in the photo, although he looks ridiculously like the dog I had many moons ago. He belonged to a German tourist who kept coming out of the enoteca to make sure I didn’t steal the pooch – how he thought I might whisk the hound away I’m not sure, but the both of us (the dog and I) were pretty happy sitting there enjoying the afternoon sun! And although the Iceland volcano’s ash cloud delayed my return slightly, there are worse places to be stranded than Italia!
"Now it’s back to work and getting ready for the launch of the updated version of Rock Chicks, which will be released in October in the US and here. Jetlag may temporarily blur the lines between Reality and Illusion, but life is nothing if not interesting!"
