Konica Minolta Australia amps up its software and support infrastructure with the creation of new strategic roles for the two experienced industry figures. The new appointments supports the digital printing solutions provider's aim to focus its offering in document management and business process automation.

Company stalwart Neal Ross comes over from Konica Minolta New Zealand, where he has been stationed as chief information officer for the past decade. Ross will be taking up the reins as IT Director, a new role created to provide strategic direction and deliver IT solutions targeting efficiency and cost demands in the business.

"I want to move IT out of the backroom and engage with the business in new and innovative ways to establish Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia as an industry leading innovator," said Ross.

Ross brings more than 20 years of IT experience to the role and looks forward to tackling new challenges in the changing Australian market.

"As the current technology market evolves with he advent of ultra-fast broadband in Australia, I would expect to see substantial drops in the price of high quality, high speed connection over the coming years, which will open Cloud services to many SME and provincial companies. Many new vendors have already provided various aspects of Cloud services, which should help drive costs down and provide wider choice."

Like Ross, Christophe Roy also makes a cross-country jump to join the local team as new product marketing manager for print management software. For Roy there's little more distance between ports, coming over from a two-year stint with Konica Minolta in France.

In his new role, Roy will handle print management support and intends to increase awareness of new and innovative solutions available to help grow printers' businesses.

"I am excited to be a part of the Konica Minolta family here in Australia. I look forward to providing added value solutions to our Australian customers and help increase the growth of our print management solutions," said Roy.
