John Wall moves up at Roland DG
In its silver anniversary year, Roland DG announces a management reshuffle, with former sales director, John Wall, stepping up as the new general manager of Roland DG Australia. In his new role, Wall will oversee the Australian and Master Distributor operations as they seek to consolidate industry leadership within Australia.
Wall said, “This is an exciting time for Roland DG Australia as we celebrate 25 years in Australia, and we look forward to continued success in this market and within the ASEAN region also."
Marc Margetts will remain as CEO of Roland DG Australia, but will take on a more global perspective with Roland DG Japan, and a strategic and visionary leadership of the Australian operations.
Marc commented, "I wish John all the best in his new role as General Manager, he has certainly worked hard to reach this position and I have the greatest of confidence that he will lead the company into a new era of growth. Our overall management structure has now been reorganised to address the ever changing needs of our industry and future market needs."
The new management structure will see several other key changes - Greg Stone has been appointed as the new overall sales manager, while Conrad Birkett will drive sales and product marketing in the ASEAN region with his recent move to Thailand in mid October. Richard Weaver has joined Milford Astor Foilmakers after working with Ticket Makers Australia (TMA) for four and half years, focussing on the manufacture of thermal paper in their Shanghai factory and sales of the product throughout the Asian region. Prior to that Richard was sales director for Kurz Australia.
Weaver’s role at Milford Astor is to further develop the existing stamping foil export business of the products produced in Australia in new countries and to find new products for the company to market in Australia and New Zealand.
Weaver explained the move, saying, “I have worked in the foil business for 17 years and find the applications and industry really interesting. So I was very excited to get the opportunity to work for an all Australian company and further develop its foil export business.”
