Workflow expert Richard Ramirez has joined the rapidly growing team at IQ Australia as it continues its expansion into North American markets.

“I had it in the back of my mind that if Rich was available then I wanted him as part of our team," said Mick Rowan, R&D Director, IQ Australia. "When everything fell into place I became extremely excited about the possibilities.”

Ramirez will be based in Sydney but will take on international responsibilities in product marketing and management. “It’s great to be part of the IQ team," he said. "The functionality of printIQ’s solutions are expansive and a genuine fit across the wide segments covered in the printing industry. I am thrilled to join the organisation and look forward to taking printIQ to a wider and more integrated market.”

In the role of solutions architect, Ramirez will head up the team taking responsibility for integrating 3rd party software with the printIQ management workflow system.

Ramirez brings solid experience spanning almost two decades, starting with the Scitex Corporation in the US before migrating to Australia 13 years ago. His technical expertise includes product, software and services for Creo, Kodak and Fujifilm. During his tenure in Australia, Ramirez has been instrumental in engineering some of the early integrations between traditional prepress workflow systems and management information systems. His knowledge spans almost all areas in the software platforms of the modern print shop including network design, capacity planning and integration.

“After working with Rich for many years at both Creo and Kodak, when the time came for us to expand our team again into the Sydney market, Rich was the logical choice," said Adrian Fleming, IQ Australia’s Sales Director. "This is a hugely important time for IQ expanding into the North American markets, so the knowledge that Rich brings with him from both a market place and product standpoint are second to none.”
