Tickets are now on sale for the 10th annual Women in Print (WiP) series that provides a networking forum for women working in the print media industry.
This year's host Bernadette Schwerdt will be presenting the five-event series around Australia in August.
Schwerdt is the director of The Australian School of Copywriting, a training company. Prior to setting up her own business, she was an account director with Young & Rubican advertising, where she created campaigns for clients such as Apple, Colgate and Australia Post.
Schwerdt hosts an online video series, Secrets of Online Entrepreneurs, on The Age newspaper website. She's the author of a new book of the same name, writes for some of Australia’s leading business magazines and moonlights as an actor with roles in TV shows including Neighbours, Winners and Losers, Jack Irish and Blue Heelers.
Bernadette will discuss: how to be a confident public speaker; ways of creating highly effective presentations; how to tell your story; and how to influence whenever you speak.
Since its inception, Women in Print has attracted a diverse audience comprising women in senior management, sales and marketing through to technicians on the shop floor. More than 3000 women have so far participated in the regular events, with over 100 attending the recent PacPrint17 Panel discussion.
