Industry program Women in Print (WiP) is seeking new corporate sponsors ahead of a breakfast event to be held at PacPrint 2017 in May.

WiP, now in its tenth year, hosted five of these breakfasts in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane in 2016. The meetings attracted more than 350 women to network and to learn from guest speaker Charlie Caruso, who spoke on topics such as innovation, disruption, and entrepreneurship.

The next breakfast will be held as part of PacPrint on May 24, sponsored by Media Super, Kwik Kopy and IVE Group, the program's 2016 sponsors. Karen Goldsmith, NSW Women in Print Patron and General Manager Association at Visual Connections, says that sponsorship opportunities for 2017 are now open, and industry support is necessary for the program to continue at its current standard. “Corporate sponsorship enables us to engage top level speakers and to ensure the five breakfast events we hold annually maintain the high standard our delegates now expect. It’s not only a terrific initiative, it’s also a great opportunity for sponsors to demonstrate support for the industry while getting your company’s name and message in front of some of the industry’s leading executives and professionals,” Goldsmith said.

Joining Goldsmith as part of Women in Print for 2017 are Jennifer Baile as State Patron in Victoria, Susan Heaney from Heaney’s Performers in Print as representative for Queensland, Marisa Rossi (BJ Ball) and Sandy Aspinall (Bowden Group) in South Australia, and Olivia Grida from Advance Press representing Western Australia.

More than 2500 women from all sectors of the industry, including senior management, sales and marketing, and shop floor staff, have attended Women in Print's meetings since Heidelberg launched the initiative in 2007. Visual Connections and Printing Industries will continue to facilitate and organise the events in 2017, after receiving positive feedback from attendees last year.
