Worldwide Printing Solutions has moved to help offset its carbon emissions by investing in renewable energy projects in Mauritius.

A statement released by Worldwide said the printer was looking to reduce its climate footprint and promote sustainability by investing in carbon offset programs:

As a print provider, we run high volumes of print orders with complex and fixed machinery, which in multitude can have an adverse effect on the environment. In order to ensure we are carbon neutral, we invest directly towards clean, renewable energy projects and energy efficient initiatives until we match our businesses impact.

The 'Mauritius project' Worldwide is investing in aims to promote renewable energy on Mauritius, and the statement said it will bring plenty of benefits, including direct and indirect employment, upgrading of local roads, expansion of the green belt, and promotion of student and tourist activity.

The impact that Worldwide Printing Solutions will have on this community is ultimately priceless and brings ongoing rewards for both parties involved. It is incredibly important to recognise the impression and influence that a company can make, not only on the lives of their own customers, but also on lives around the world.

When a company gives back, positive change can occur. As a company that values community, sustainability and innovation, we understand our duty to pay it forward. We firmly believe that the Mauritius solar power project is a great way to tackle our company’s current footprint, as well as promote positive change worldwide.
