Wot's on: 3 April 2008
The industry is still as busy as ever. Here's the low-down on what went down, and what's coming up.
Meteor hits Melbourne
Everyone loves an open house, so if you're in Melbourne, why not pop in to The Digital Impressions Group's launch of the MGI Meteor DP40 PRO.
"It's a brand-building exercise to spread the word about MGI," said Warren Davey, managing director. "It's a professional digital printing solution."
The launch kicked off on Wednesday, but runs through until Friday 4. "So far, we've had a very positive response from all attendees," said Davey. "We will hold a similar event in Sydney after drupa."
The MGI launch takes place on the following times:
Thursday 3 April: 10.30 am, 1.30pm and 7pm
Friday 4 April: 10.30am and 1.30pm

Two weeks till National Print Awards
Time is tick-tick ticking away to get your ticket to this year's National Print Awards on Wednesday 16 April.

Hosts Peter Rosethorn (look at moi!) and Jo Stanley are guaranteed to prove rib-ticklers, injecting a good dose of humour (or yumour to those in Melbourne) into printing's night of nights. Joining them are live performers, the String Angels, and of course, the best printers in Australia.
Tickets are going for $150 a head and demand is strong. Those intending to join the throng are urged to book their tickets now at www.nationalprintawards.com.au or by contacting Lisa Scott at Printing Industries on (03) 8541-7315.
