Registrations are open for Xeikon Café, a four-day event to be held in Belgium in March, which will feature the manufacturer's latest products and allow users to network and connect with one another.
The exhibition and conference, which will run from March 28 to 31 at the company's Lier facility in Antwerp, has been extended from three days to four this year due to increased interest. "Last time Xeikon ran Café we had about 750 accounts, and this time we’re running it over four days to show off some new innovations. We’re hopeful of getting in excess of 800 accounts for this event, from Europe, the US, the Asia-Pacific region, and some from Australia and New Zealand," said Trevor Crowley, sales general manager at Xeikon Australia.
Applications on display will include labels, flexible packaging, folded and corrugated cartons, leaflets, and paper cups. "The Café is run as an educational event. We will bring together more than 65 industry suppliers and specialists who are involved in the converting process. What we do is we bring together all the people involved in the process and demonstrate solutions from end to end. This allows converters not only see the Xeikon platform in action, but also to sit down and talk to these suppliers to get an understanding of the entire process," Crowley said.
For those considering making the 30-hour trip out to Belgium, Crowley says it's well worth the flight whether you're a Xeikon user or not. "If you’re an existing Xeikon user, it allows you to see what other applications you can do with your machines and shows off the versatility of your platform, letting you see what other applications you could use your press for. For anyone thinking of buying a Xeikon, it allows you to see what our machines can do – it’s a great opportunity to get close to a Xeikon press and see it run many different types of printing solutions. It's a fantastic four-day event, with live demonstrations of a variety of end to end digital production solutions," he said.
