Printing Industries has opened a call for entries in the 2016 Media Super Young Executive Award by releasing a series of videos featuring finalists from the 2015 event.

Each of the state finalists in the 2015 Media Super Young Executive Award were interviewed after this year’s final judging held during PrintEx15. They discuss their careers, future hopes and visions for the future of the printing industry.

“We want to showcase the quality of young people entering and working in the printing industry and to provide an insight into how they see the future of the industry unfolding,” said Printing Industries national director communications, technology and creative services, Joe Kowalewski. “We also want to encourage industry companies to look at their own businesses for potential candidates up to the age of 35 years.

“The award has been created to recognise and reward young, exceptional employees who show exemplary promise as executives in the print, packaging and graphic communications sectors.”

“This will provide all information related to the Media Super Young Executive Award as well as providing ongoing recognition of candidates and a motivation for other young people within the industry or those considering a career in the industry,” said Kowalewski. "And a special 'thank you' is due to Media Super for its support in the production of the videos and commitment to the Awards program."

The interviewed candidates are:

Ellie Savige (James Yeates & Sons - Victoria).

Sean Thompson (Webstar - NSW).

Jeremy Scott (Impress Print - Tasmania).

Wil Stevens (Collotype Labels - South Australia).

Rio Chard (Scott Print - Western Australia).

Claire Hamilton (Self-employed - Queensland).
