A B Graphic International (ABG), represented in Australia and New Zealand by Currie Group, has established a new division, ABG Flex Pack, to expand its footprint in the flexible packaging market.

A B Graphic International (ABG) – represented in Australia and New Zealand by Currie Group – has established ABG Flex Pack, a new division consolidating the company’s existing lamination, pouch finishing and shrink sleeve capabilities to support growth in flexible packaging.

ABG brings prior experience to the division through its thermal laminators, pouch finishing systems such as the Digicon 3000, and a shrink sleeve portfolio installed in multiple markets. ABG Flex Pack groups these technologies under one structure and adds an exclusive partnership with pouch- and bag-making specialist Galaxy Packtech.

Centred on three initiatives, the division includes the launch of ThermoLam, a compact modular thermal laminator designed for improved ergonomics, front-of-machine roll handling and a reduced footprint for space-constrained production areas. ThermoLam is aimed at converters looking to streamline the lamination step in flexible packaging workflows and integrate more easily with upstream and downstream finishing.

The second pillar is ABG’s exclusive distribution and service for Galaxy Packtech across Europe (including the UK and Ireland), the Americas, Australasia, Japan and Israel.

A third technology development is planned to broaden the Flex Pack offer later this year.

Galaxy Packtech is a family-run manufacturer with 24 years in operation, more than 1500 installations worldwide and a team of around 100 staff. Its modular systems cover a range of pouch formats and are designed for changeover efficiency, process stability and operator access.

Gaurav Sharma, chief marketing officer at Galaxy Packtech, said the collaboration combines complementary strengths. “We chose to partner with ABG because of their reputation for innovation, high standards and comprehensive service support,” Sharma said. “Together we can align Galaxy’s technical focus with ABG’s market reach.”

ABG’s global sales director Matt Burton said the division is intended to give converters a single pathway into flexibles. “From coating and lamination through to pouch production, customers can work with one supplier,” Burton said.

ABG Flex Pack will be shown on Galaxy Packtech’s stand 5E48 at Labelexpo Europe 2025, 16-19 September at Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via, with live demonstrations of a pouch-making line. ABG will also exhibit shrink sleeve, embellishment, inspection, laser cutting, non-stop and converting solutions on its stand 3E41 in Hall 3.
