The centrepiece of Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint’s presence at MetPack will be the world premiere of its new solution for high-end coating and process automation, the MetalCoat 484.
Visitors to Stand 3B39 in Hall 3 can experience firsthand the unique features which the company says will enable users to improve overall efficiency and increase profitability.
The new MetalCoat 484 boasts increased productivity through intelligent technology – combining Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint's three-roll system with automation that delivers real value.
According to Koenig & Bauer, this new generation of coating technology “significantly optimises” overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through an automatic washing system and closed loop coating thickness control, which helps customers “sustainably increase their efficiency and profitability in a demanding market environment”.
The optional closed-loop coating thickness control continuously monitors the application and automatically adjusts for minimal coating consumption and maximum consistency.
On top of the global launch of the MetalCoat 484, Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint will also underscore its position as a ‘one-stop-shop’ by spotlight the latest machines in its portfolio to address every step of the metal decorating journey.
For printing, alongside the high-performance MetalStar 4, which remains the company’s gold standard for high-end metal printing, Koenig & Bauer will have the Mailänder printing machine for rough jobs on its stand. For those seeking maximum flexibility for small batches, the MetJET series offers a complete industrial digital printing solution.
Addressing the global energy transition, Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint will also spotlight a range of drying technologies. This includes conventional gas-fired thermal drying with integrated air purification, UV and UV-LED solutions, and the latest hydrogen-ready oven technology for enabling carbon-neutral production.
In addition to technological innovations, Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint will also be celebrating a significant anniversary this year.
The roots of Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint lie in three industry giants – Mailänder, LTG, and Bauer + Kunzi. This year, the company celebrates the 150th anniversary of J.G. Mailänder, which was founded in 1876.
According to the company, by laying the foundation for ‘metal printing made in Germany’, Mailänder’s spirit of innovation continues to drive its modern technological breakthroughs.
“MetPack is a family gathering for us. We are looking forward to meeting our partners and customers from all over the world face-to-face in one place,” said Ralf Hipp, CEO of Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint.
“We are there to present our innovative strength and customised services that help our customers stay competitive in a changing market. We are ready for MetPack 2026.”
The Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint stand will serve as a central hub for experts to discuss the latest industry trends – such as material consumption reduction and energy efficiency – and to develop bespoke solutions for individual production requirements.
