PacPrint is around the corner and its president Sue Threlfo talks with Wayne Robinson, editor of Print21, about what's on offer at the big show, the evolution of the print industry, and why print business owners and managers will benefit from being at the expo.

We start what visitors can expect to see in the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, how the industry is trending, and why this PacPrint is important for print businesses.

There is a review of the popular forum programme, which leads to a discussion of the trade show's organisation, the opportunities for socialising and the events on offer during and outside of the expo. Sue also notes the benefits that the upcoming PVCA / TRMC merger will have for the show going forward.

The discussion moves onto the current state of the print industry and how businesses can achieve and maintain the growth that many are reporting as we move out of the restrictive stage of the pandemic. Following this, after 33 years of working in the industry, Sue announces her retirement, and dissects the evolution towards digital technology within the print industry which she has seen during her career in the industry.

Finally, we look at how businesses can diversify their revenues with Konica Minolta’s new MGI Embellishing Solution, which will be on display at the show, as an example, and wrap up by thanking Sue for her many contributions to the industry throughout her career.
