Andy Fryer, co-owner of Easy Signs, who was in the US for the event said, “What a night of celebration with our Easy Signs USA team. A year since we started manufacturing, and we are growing month on month, hitting our projections and wowing our customers. An amazing achievement by all involved.”

Easy Signs is one of the new Australian print businesses with a US operation, all the more remarkable since Fryer and his partner Adam Parnell only began in the sign business 17 years ago, by buying the small signage operation next to their existing business. Now they operate out of an 8,700 sqm facility in south west Sydney, and the new US facility.

Fryer said, “It's hard to believe it was only 19 months ago that our borders opened and we were finally allowed to travel abroad. Adam Parnell and I immediately booked a flight to New York with the intention of finding our first US manufacturing location.

“Fast forward and we have turned it into the modern, lightning-fast manufacturing facility it is today, with a team nailing our KPI's and living up to all the promises we make to our customers. It's been a big year, and not without its challenges.”

Easy Signs had spent three years exporting to North America before setting up its own plant there. The facility mirrored that of its factory in Smeaton Grange, NSW, with Steph Talty, now Wilbow,  moving to the US, as COO of the new operation.

Fryer said, “With the same customer-centric approach we apply in Australia, the most important thing for us was to not allow our customers to notice the pain and challenges going on behind the scenes, we never want to make our problems their problems. Achieving this has been remarkable and a true testament to the leadership and effort by the whole team, including the remote, and in person, technical assistance many people have provided from Australia.”
