The world’s big sign and display technology expo, Fespa Global, has opened in Berlin, with visitors poring over the booths of some 550 vendors from 36 countries at this year’s event.

The expo promises to show the latest trends in sustainability, print on demand and intelligent automation, in addition to the latest products and innovations.

Across the three events – Fespa Global Print Expo, European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience – visitors are exploring solutions for wide format, textile and garment decoration, finishing, promotional products and merchandise from major exhibitors including Agfa, Brother, Canon, Durst, EFI, Epson, Fujifilm, HP, Jwei, Kongsberg PCS, Kornit, Mimaki, Mutoh, Ricoh, Roland DG, swissQpriont and Zund.

Operating under the strapline ‘Where Visionaries Meet’, the show is being promoted as the ultimate place for “visionaries” in the speciality print sector to unite, network, share ideas and explore opportunities.

At the show’s opening ceremony, Daniel Sunderland, vice president of Canagraf (Fespa’s local association in Mexico), was sworn into office as Fespa’s 19th president. Sunderland has more than 30 years’ experience working in the speciality print industry. He succeeds Christophe Aussenac, founding director of French printer Autorise Toute Creativité, who held the position since 2021.

Fespa Australia will be running a networking event for the ANZ print community in Berlin for the show, it will hosted in the Fespa Club Lounge at the Expo Centre tomorrow. The expo runs until Friday.
