The most clicked story in the ANZ print industry over the past week was the Print21 report on Epson launching a slew of new digital products, all aimed at enabling print businesses to capitalise on new market opportunities as the commercial print market tightens.

Imaging giant Epson released its first industrial scale direct-to-garment system, its first 76” high production dye sublimation printer, its first flatbed UV printer, and its first resin printers – which will compete in the latex space. Craig Heckenberg, managing director of Epson ANZ, said: “The print solutions launched today all target growth areas."

The second-most clicked story was our report on the country's biggest t-shirt printer, QTCo, and its investment in two new Kornit DTG printers as it continues to grow. QTCo transitioned from screen to digital eight years ago and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Coming in at number three for the week was the Print21 news that the board at Print & Visual Communication Association is up for election with nominations due to be sent out next month by AEC. The PVCA will also be having a new president as current incumbent Walter Kuhn reaches the limit of his term.
