The biggest story in the ANZ print industry this week was the news that once-every-four-years trade show PacPrint will run in September, with visitor registrations now open.

PacPrint: biggest story of the week

No trade shows have taken place anywhere since last February, and PacPrint is likely to be the first, making Australia the envy of the world again. With the vaccination programme set to be almost complete by then it’s all systems go for expo.

The second biggest story in the past seven days was Print21’s report on Clayton based flexo print operation Supreme Packaging, just acquired by Pro-Pac for $3.2m. Founded 40 years ago, and now with 50 staff, Supreme is expected to contribute $10m-$12m into the ProPac group revenue next year.

Number three most-clicked print industry story of the week was also from Victoria, with the Print21 new son sign companies facing huge fines if they do not use ACM with less than seven per cent core combustibility, and do not have certificates to prove it. Association safety officer Glen Hain says there are no grey areas.
