Epson presented a wide range of signage options as well as fabric and clothing production technologies on its stand at Visual Impact last week.

It drew crowds with the demonstrations of products and demonstrations that cover interior décor, POS, POP, durable outdoor signage and direct to garment (DTG) applications.

“From an outdoor durable signage perspective, this range gives you the biggest colour gamut in the market at the moment,” says Gordon Kerr, product marketing manager, Epson. “The sales of this range and in particular the SureColor SC-S80600 have been exceptional. This is our flagship product and one of our top sellers and it has created a lot of interest at the show.

“What is new, brand spanking new, it only happened two days ago, this machine is now Pantone certified – the first official Pantone certification for signage, as far as I’m aware anyway. This printer has 98 per cent Pantone coverage.”

The new SureColor range features Epson PrecisionCore head technology and a new UltraChrome ink set that delivers prints with improved quality, brightness and colour gamut. The printers produce output that dries quickly to enable same-day job turnaround even when lamination is required.

Four Epson demo sectors at Visual Impact

The first demo area belongs to the Epson SureColor Signage range. Epson’s latest generation Eco-Solvent printers, comprising of the entry-level S40600, the high-speed S60600 (pictured) and the high-colour S80600, have drawn acclaim for their outstanding print quality and ultra-low running costs. The range features Epson PrecisionCore head technology and a new UltraChrome ink set that delivers prints with unparalleled quality, brightness and colour gamut.

The new Epson SureColor Production range took pride of place in the second demo area at Visual Impact These machines were developed to address the needs of POS and POP producers. They feature a new ultra-wide 2.64” PrecisionCore print head and an advanced intelligent media feed management system that enables production of colour accurate graphic and photo material at speeds of 20-40m2/hr.

The third demo area at Visual Impact belonged to the new Epson SureColor Technical range. This series addresses the needs of retail and business graphic printing. The engines use a low cost 5-colour aqueous UltraChrome ink set to produce extremely cost-effective output on coated and uncoated stocks. Prints dry instantly and provide exceptional durability against abrasion and moisture damage.

The fourth demo area highlighted the acclaimed SureColor Fabric range, for those interested in producing soft or hard signage, custom textiles, clothing or merchandise. Showcase was the high-speed F9200 dye-sublimation (DS) printer as well as the F2000 Direct to Garment (DTG) printer.
