The Print Files industry podcast launched
Print21 has launched the print industry’s own podcast – The Print Files – to provide inspiration and insight to the owners and managers of all types of print businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
The first Print Files was published on Monday, sent to all readers on the Print21 database as an electronic direct mail, and has been made available for download on multiple podcast platforms, including Apple iTunes, Google Play, Deezer and Spotify, and will be available as an RSS feed. The first episode of The Print Files is entitled It’s Been a Big Month in Print. The podcast sees Print21 publisher Lindy Hughson and Print21 editor Wayne Robinson discuss the big print stories, trends and issues of the month in detail.
It’s Been a Big Month in Print will be a monthly episode, enabling printers to keep fully informed of all the major stories in print on this new audio platform.
Following the first episode, The Print Files will run a Print Leaders series, where Print21 talks to six influential print industry leaders. We dive deep into what makes them tick, how they make decisions, what keeps them inspired, how they deal with obstacles, and their strategies for success.
The Print Files will also run a series of practical sessions on various aspects of running a print business, and we will take a closer look at the realities of creating a sustainable print business.
Lindy Hughson, publisher of Print21 and PKN Packaging News, said, “The ethos of Print21 is to provide the owners and managers of print businesses across Australia and New Zealand access to informed content on relevant trends and issues, to enable them to make better business decisions.
“As the leading trade media in ANZ, producing podcasts is a natural next step for Print21, and it complements our expanded news website and weekly video news bulletin.
“The Print Files podcast will give the ANZ print community access to the highest level of information, at a time of their choosing, perhaps while commuting, or on the treadmill, or in a quiet moment at home or in the office.”
The Print Files will be aimed at all types of print businesses, including commercial, labels, packaging, sign and display, and textile print companies. The podcast will cover myriad relevant topics over the coming months.
Wayne Robinson, editor of Print21 said, “I’m really looking forward to in-depth dialogue with our guests, as together the industry navigates into the new business landscape. I invite all print business owners and managers to join us for 20 or 30 minutes each week, at a time and place convenient for them.”
