GJS will host two back-to-back hands-on events at its Revesby showroom on Thursday 7 May covering the latest developments in both Direct-to-Film (DTF) and UV printing.
The Discover DTF Printing and Unlock the Power of UV Printing events will feature three Australian-first previews and mark the first major public showcase of GJS's recently announced distribution partnership with Mutoh.
Australian firsts
Attendees at the morning DTF session (9am to 12pm) will be among the first in Australia to see both the xTool Apparel Printer and the OtterPro All-in-One DTF System running live, while attendees at the afternoon UV session (1pm to 4pm) will get to see the first Australian preview of the Epson SureColor V4000 UV LED flatbed printer.
DTF: new hardware, new consumables
The DTF session will cover the full spectrum of entry-level solutions, from desktop sheet-fed systems through to 90cm roll-to-roll production with the Epson SureColor G6060.
The event will also showcase the latest developments in DTF film and anti-sublimation powder technology, as well as live demonstrations of the Secabo MultiTrim and MultiCut automatic DTF transfer cutters.
“The DTF market continues to move at an incredible pace, and there have been several key advancements since we last held these events – not just in hardware, but in film and powder technology as well,” said Greg Stone, managing director of GJS.
“These events give our customers the opportunity to see everything that's changed in one place, in one day.”
UV: new range, new market opportunities
Hot on the heels of GJS's recently announced distribution partnership with Mutoh Australia, the UV session will be the first major public showcase of the Mutoh UV printer range now available through GJS, including the XpertJet 661UF running live.
The session will also explore the growing market opportunity in braille and tactile graphics, including signage, wayfinding, and full-colour tactile applications.
“From a UV perspective, there have been several significant new product announcements recently, and with our new Mutoh partnership, we can now bring an entirely new range of UV solutions to our customers,” Stone added.
“Mutoh is the market leader in braille technology, and we see significant opportunity for our customers to capitalise on this, particularly given Australia's ongoing construction and housing boom and the increasing demand for accessible signage and wayfinding.”
