Members of the Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA) now have access to a wide range of training and other resources from the International Sign Association (ISA).
The new reciprocal membership agreement between the two associations, which was announced last month, sees all current ASGA general/sign company members eligible for ISA member benefits, including member rates and access to a range of webinars, events and on-demand courses, information and updates, industry research and more.
Damian Nielsen, ASGA’s membership and events manager, said accessing the ISA member benefits is easy, with the Association creating an ISA Alliance landing page to make it easy for members to access the resources of the world’s largest signage association.
“Everything industry businesses need to access their full range of ISA benefits is brought together in one place, on our new ISA Alliance page, which can easily be found in the drop-down menu within the Member Area of our website,” said Nielsen.
“We have also created some handy ‘How-To’ documents to step members through the initial login and setup, so they can get started quickly and easily.”
Through the new alliance, ASGA members will gain:
- ISA member-rate access to webinars, on-demand learning and more than 60 online courses;
- Free entry to the ISA International Sign Expo and discounted seminar pricing;
- Access to ISA virtual events, newsletters and industry updates;
- Member-rate access to ISA and Sign Research Foundation (SRF) research; and
- Permission to use ISA marks to identify their business as an ISA Alliance Partner Member.
“All these benefits are now freely available to ASGA members, all as part of their existing member benefits bundle,” Nielsen added.
The link on the ASGA website, will take members through to a specially-curated landing page on the ISA website, where they can manage their corporate membership, share the benefits by adding members of their teams, and access educational resources which have been vetted by ASGA.
“While all courses available through ISA are available to ASGA members, some are targeted specifically at a US audience and may not be appropriate for businesses in our region,” explained Nielsen.
“These are listed on a dedicated ISA Courses page on the ASGA website or they can be found by searching ‘ASGA’ on the ISA website.
“ASGA has viewed the available courses and, in partnership with ISA, has curated and updated the ones which are suitable for our members – although it is always wise to double-check that any information is aligned with the requirements of your project, and complies with Australian regulations and practices.”
According to Mick Harrold, president of ASGA, access to world-class training and research is critical to keep businesses compliant and successful in an industry where technology and regulation are moving fast.
“ASGA’s aim has always been to help industry businesses save time and money, remain compliant, and learn and upskill to ensure they are well-equipped to build success in a changing and challenging business environment,” said Harrold.
“This strategic partnership with ISA is just the latest step in the ongoing process of growing our suite of member benefits, and we are delighted to be able to offer these expanded benefits to ASGA members.”
To access the new ISA benefits, login to the Member Area at signs.org.au and select ‘ISA Alliance’ from the left-hand menu.
Instructions on the first-time login setup, as well as how to manage your ISA account and access training programs can all be found on that page, together with your link to click through to the ISA website.
