All eyes on lenticular printing
Perth-based business CJ King joins the line of printers moving into lenticular printing.
Recently installing HumanEyes Litho 3D software to drive their Heidelberg UV press, the move is an attempt to establish the company's reputation in lenticular printing.
"We want to become the primary source for 3D lenticular printing in the Australasian market place," said business development manager, Chris Temov. "I see no reason why it cannot happen."
The HumanEyes software allows professionals to build 3D files and other lenticular effects, then send the file to the printer. Chris Graham, managing director of Premedia Technologies, which distributes HumanEyes throughout Australia-New Zealand said that: "This is a very significant step forward for HumanEyes in particular, and lenticular printing in general in the Australian market."
Australia has witnessed some interesting developments in lenticular printing, following Melbourne company SEP Sprint taking out the Agfa award for printing the world's first lenticular stamps, and Rolling Stone magazine, which last year celebrated its 1000th issue with a special lenticular cover.
