CMYKhub hits the UV print jackpot in Qld
Clive Denholm is onto a winner with his sunshine state expansion, as the regional hub exceeds sales targets twice over through UV printing.
According to the owner of CMYKhub, the 200% growth in sales is all thanks to the capability of its new UV press, with quick turnaround times achievable as sheets are dry straight off the press.
“We are getting a lot of work from other printers on recycled paper with solid ink coverage. On a normal press, the ink can take a week or more to dry on some papers.
“We are also getting a lot of interest in the crystal varnish spot UV product, it’s a very low cost way to create an impact,” says Denholm (pictured).
As UV printing inks are completely dry and cured when they come off the press, printed materials can be finished almost immediately. Taking drying time out of the print equation means a faster turnover of clean copy and profit.
Since the Queensland hub opened in July as part of CMYKhub’s growth strategy, Denholm has made an impressive impact on the local industry. “It’s great to see that there is still some opportunities in the industry. The new products and press have allowed our Queensland customers to pick up work they would normally not win,” he adds.
