First silver sponsor for Printovation 2011

Showing support for innovation and excellence in Australian Print, BJ Ball Papers are the first silver sponsors announced for the second annual GASAA Printovation Awards 2011.

In conjunction with the GASAA PrintCom Expo 2011, the awards will be held in Melbourne on 13 September

Garry Knespal (pictured), executive officer of GASAA says New Zealand's oldest paper merchant is the first paper distributor to come on board for this industry event, “we are delighted that BJ Ball Papers are supporting the awards, providing a focus on innovative use of print on various paper stocks and unique substrates.”

Distributor of paper and packaging products into the Australasian and Pacific regions the BJ Ball Group comprises BJ Ball Papers, Kirby Papers, Reel Papers, and Typecut Graphics.

Award entries are now open for the six different categories covering print works completed in the financial year between 30 June 2010 and 1 July 2011.

The categories include wide format (over SRA3), offset/web, digital SRA3 and under (non-variable data), digital (variable/ direct marketing/ cross-media), online marketing and general.

Chaired by Theo Pettaras, the 2011 awards will be judged by Marcus Piper, Scott Telfer, Jackie Connor and James Cryer.
