New Indigo press set to power up CJ King around Australia
Installation of HP 7000 press in Perth and relocation of 5500 to the Gold Coast enhances CJ King’s digital print portfolio.
The Perth-based trade printer is no stranger to HP Indigo technology. In 2008 it installed two Indigo 5500 series presses which were primarily utilised to service the growing demand for short-run offset work.
"While CJ King will continue to be at the forefront of CMYK offset trade printing, digital now has established itself as vital part of the future of printing in Australasia and we have embraced it," said business development manager, Chris King.

Now, CJ King has taken the next step with a replacement 5500 press for its Gold Coast operation and a new 7000. According to Adrian Dixon, state manager of the Currie Group, which has the distributorship for HP, the investment puts CJ King in good stead for the future.
“This business philosophy has proved to be very successful which resulted in a need to further expand their digital operation,” he said. “This was facilitated with the replacement of one 5500 with the new HP Indigo 7000, providing increased capacity and the relocation of the remaining 5500 to the new operation on the Gold Coast further improving turnaround times on the east coast.”
