Pre-Sales Engineer

Epson, a leader in printer and imaging markets, is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to support its growing Large Format Printing and Document Solutions businesses.

Reporting to our Team Leader Pre-Sales, this role will act as the technical representative for our Victorian sales operations, supporting our sales team, dealers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the sales team & service team to understand client requirements and develop tailored print solutions.
Provide technical pre-sales support, including product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and customer events.
Lead technical presentations, training, and workshops to demonstrate the value of integrated print solutions to clients.
Design and implement integrated print environments, incorporating third-party software solutions and RIPS, for enhanced print management and workflow automation.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot print solutions in diverse IT environments.
Assisting with installations either remotely or on-site at customer locations

Highly Desirable Skills & Experience:

Print expertise
Strong background with Large Format printers (in Photo, proofing, signage, or textile) and/ or A3 Multifunction Devices.
Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Design:
Ability to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions, product configurations, and service offerings.
Experience in presenting complex print solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Workflow and Imaging
Understanding of digital printing processes, colour management and diverse print materials.
Knowledge of 3rd party RIPS, Illustrator/ Photoshop, and profile creation.
Managed Print Software:
Experience with third-party print management software such as PaperCut and Printix.
IT Network Integration:
Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to print network configuration.
Project Management and Collaboration:
Exceptional communication skills, and ability to deliver effective training.
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications or certification in these areas will be highly regarded.
