The label has become a key marketing tool, with new technology and digitisation enabling print businesses of all kinds to be able to jump on the bandwagon and start a label printing service, and often for a low investment.

Label press manufacturer Gallus has pledged all its products will be carbon neutral by the end of the year, using the Kyoto gold standard carbon offsetting programme.
